WHY CHERRY BLOSSOMS ?
The cherry tree is a very common tree in our region, and its bloom really touches our heart. The year 2016 was life changing for me. It was one of the toughest phase in my life. The cherry blossom tree signifies the promise of God to me. God made me observe this tree as a symbol of hope and new begining in midst of all the negativity going around my life that particular year. The cherry blossom tree was a delight not only for the sight but for the heart too. This moment in my life inspired me to use the cherry blossom tree as the name for my school. I started to strongly believe that the cherry blossom tree's shade is for everyone, that no one is a stranger under its shade. When all the trees are not blooming any more and some starts shedding its leaves, this CHERRY TREE blooms in an unique way and stands out to show the world that there is HOPE and not to despair inspite of any circumstances.

Thus, the name CHERRY BLOSSOMS SCHOOL, came into existence. The school was registred under the NBSE (Nagland Board of School Education). There was no turning back since then. The school started on 12 Febuary 2007 with just 25 students along with 3 children with special needs. The need to cater to such children with special needs came into more importance as the RTE came into force the same year. Our children are capable to learn and excel as any other provided we give and make space for them.
I would also like to share about an incident where I, met with a severe road accident during my student life, but miracalously GOD restored my left hand which was otherwise supposed to be amputed because of its severe condition. Then I realised how a persons with disabilities suffer and face day to day life with its limitation, pain and sufferings. The challenges are limlitless and how one have to accomodate and customise ones needs. That phase of excruciating pain was difficult to forget. Thus my zeal and passion to help disabled people began to grow in me. While contemplating on this idea, I found out that there were hardly any services catering to the needs of persons with disabilities.
Thus I decided that something has to be done to help out people who are in need and who needed services, councelling and thus creating a platform for persons with disabilities to be at par with the regular children/ people. Cherry Blossoms School started with an INCLUSIVE set up and accomodates all children irrespective of their innate abilities.
